# Feature request: internal notes on questions

We would like to leave notes visible only to staff without posting a public answer. Is anything like that planned?

Not yet, the closest workaround today is starting a thread in the Internal category and cross-referencing the question. A real internal-notes field is on the roadmap.

Landed this last sprint actually, internal notes now live as a separate field on the question detail page, staff only. Should show up for you already.

Great to see this land, using it for internal escalation notes already.
