# Renaming a tag without breaking old links

We want to rename the bugs tag to known issues but are worried it will break any bookmarked filter URLs.

Safe to rename, tag filter URLs are keyed by the tag id, not its slug, so a rename does not break any bookmarked or shared links.

Renamed ours from "bugs" to "known issues" with no broken links, matches what is described here.
