# Adding a backup payment method

Our primary card is expiring soon. Can we add a backup card so billing does not interrupt if the first one fails?

Multiple payment methods per workspace is not supported yet, only one card on file at a time. If your primary is expiring soon, the safest move today is updating it directly in Billing before it lapses rather than waiting for a failed charge.

Updated ours a week before expiry just to be safe, took two minutes.

Multiple cards on file is a reasonable ask, added it to the list for the billing rework.
